Wax Museum

Just for the record, if you are thinking of going to a Wax museum...DON'T! It was a HUGE waste of money. However, there are still a few fun highlights....

The entrance to the museum..Ben was so scared of this dinosaur

(it moved and roared) that he wouldn't even come be in the picture with us!

Indian Jones

Chad got caught on the Planet of the Apes...lucky we were there to save him!

Chad showing off one of his many talents!

Larry, Moe and Curly....meet Chris, Josh and Ben

Ben and the 7 dwarves (well 3 of them anyway)

Meeting Johnny Depp!

Chad meeting David Letterman

As part of the museum, they have a "horror" section. This is the entrance. When you go in the entrance they have 6 doors that you have to open to try and find the right door that leads to the rest of the exhibit. The "wrong" doors have scary noises and monsters behind them. I opened the first door and saw the monster and screams and all 3 boys turned and ran back to where we came from!

Josh was the only one that we could talk into going into the scary part. He and Chad went through while me, Chris and Josh waited. This is Josh after he came out. He said it was VERY scary!

Riverwalk

In downtown San Antonio, the river runs right through the city and they have walkways all around it, thus...The Riverwalk. We headed there Wednesday evening after we checked into our hotel. It was very pretty. The boys favorite part was the boat ride around the river. By the end of the evening though, they were all pretty tired (we had been traveling for 8 hours)...especially Josh! Here are the pictures!

Josh is DONE! He was so tired he couldn't see straight!
Having Mexican food on the Riverwalk...YUM!

San Antonio

Last week we took the boys for a little family vacation to San Antonio. We had so much fun swimming, walking the Riverwalk, visiting the Alamo and playing for 2 days at Sea World.

Here are the pictures from the Alamo. What a surprise this was to us. We thought it was just the building that you see in the pictures and thought we would spend maybe a half hour there. Boy were we wrong! It is such a beautiful place! The grounds are breathtaking....and it's HUGE! There is the main building that you see in pictures all the time, and then there are several smaller buildings that are also part of it...all surrounding a beautiful courtyard. We spent 3 hours there!

Here are the boys outside the front of the Alamo

Here's a little friend we found on the cactus

This was a really pretty walkway leading up to the side entrance of the Alamo

Pretty grounds

The Texas rose!

This tree was HUGE!!!

Ben ready to beat the heat and go for a swim...NOT!

Mice From Outer Space

Josh had his 1st grade play last night...The Mice From Outer Space. It was actually a cute show, mice whose spaceship broke down and they had to land on earth where they had to learn to be friends with the earth mice...because we can all be friends no matter what we look like.

Here's Josh all ready to go to the play

Cool Tail!

Our little space mouse!

Josh and his friend James after the play

Josh showing the planet that he drew (the blue and orange one)

Keep watching....I hope to post a little clip of they play (yes, I had to video it too!)

Preschool

Ben started preschool this week and has loved it! He had no problem with me leaving him there...I of course cried the whole way home! Here he is on his first day....

Workin' Boy

I was doing some work on the computer and Ben decided that he needed to do some work as well...at his desk....with a computer like me. So I brought in the little table from the kitchen, and put Chad's laptop on it for Ben. He had a lot of fun "working"!
