August Adventures

Oh wow! I can't believe a month has gone by without me adding a single post. That must be a record. It has just been crazy around here with our floors and with my work (for those of you who don't know, I freelance at home designing brochures, flyers, videos, etc for businesses all over the country).

So, just to get you all up to speed on the Rappleye clan here are a few highlights from August.....

The boys got these magnet books that had tricks in them, so they decided to put on a magic show for me and Chad for family night one night. It was pretty entertaining (I videoed it, I'll have to post that once I actually get a minute to pull if off the camera). Here are the pictures though.

We got a bushel of peaches and spent an afternoon canning them. The boys all got into it and helped peel and cut them.

We got invited to a Crew game (the professional soccer team here) for a birthday party for our neighbor down the street. The boys loved it. We were right by the field behind the goal post and the boys were in heaven!

Then of course there was my favorite day this month...THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! The boys were excited and so was I (Ben doesn't actually start until Tuesday this week).

Then last night we took the boys to a local park to play tennis. We all had fun (even though our tennis skills leave much to be desired!) I did have one (yes, just one) really good backhand, unfortunately, it connected right in Ben's face...ouch!!!

After tennis, we went to get a little treat at the corner ice cream store (Graeters). They have yummy ice cream with big chunks of chocolate. We have had some pretty big chunks, but last night, Chris and Josh found a HUGE chunk of chocolate!!!

And there you have it!!! August in a nutshell. By the way...my new floors are in and I love them! BUT...they haven't finished the molding and painting yet (that's Tuesday) after that is all done and everything looks pretty, I'll post a picture!
