More Cruise Highlights - Day at Sea

We had on day at sea while on the cruise. We spent almost the entire day at the big slides and splash area that they had on the ship. We all had fun racing on the slides and enjoying each other's company!

Cruise Highlights

The morning our ship sailed we all met up at the airport (we were all arriving on different flights from different places). Grandpa lined up 2 limos to shuttle us all to the docks. The boys thought that was very cool. They had a blast listening to "Poker Face" blaring on the radio on the way there!

After long plane rides (including red eye flights for some), and lots of travel, we all meet up at the airport in Ft. Lauderdale

The first day of our cruise we arrived in Key West. We rented a boat for a few hours (complete with a driver who knew his way around) and headed out to the World's 3rd largest barrier reef to snorkel. We saw lots of cool fish! One of my favorite parts was when we got Ben in his snorkel gear and he put his face in the water and you could hear him yelling (muffled because of the snorkel gear and water) "Fish! Fish! I see fish!"

Family Fun

We just returned today from a trip with my whole family. My parents took us all on a cruise to the Carribean. We had such a wonderful time and it was so fun to be with all my family. Hopefully in the next couple of days I will be able to post some highlights.....

Graduation and the Training Wheels Come Off

An eventful day today. ..

This afternoon Chris had his 5th grade graduation. He is moving on to Middle School now. He may be ready for this step, but I am not real sure that I am. They had a little program this afternoon at the school where they handed out "diplomas" to all the 5th graders.

Then this afternoon, Ben decided that he was ready for the training wheels to come off of his bike. We thought it would be a few hours of helping him get enough confidence to do it on his own.....we were wrong. One house up from ours Chad let go of the bike and Ben took off...he never looked back....just kept pedaling and has been going ever since. After about a half hour of riding around, he took of his elbow and knee pads and told me, "Mom...I don't need these any more". ...yes...my baby is getting big!

Here they go.....Chad used the bar for all of 30 seconds...then Ben was on his own!

And he's off!
