Chad and I just returned from a trip to Athens, Greece. We were there for 9 days and it was wonderful. Chad served his mission there 18 years ago and it was so fun to have him show me this place that he loves! It was fun visiting all the ruins (and there are a lot of them) and I loved the food! Here are some highlights...The Olympic Stadium

Me at the Olympic Stadium

There are all these little stores that sell some really yummy things. Here is Chad buying a Bugotzia (I killed the spelling on that one)...they were these flaky pastry things filled with creme, powdered sugar and cinnamon...they were SO YUMMY! It was fun to hear Chad speak Greek with all of these people...I just stood back and nodded like I knew what they were saying! :)

We went to the Ancient Agora...a big area that was once thousands of years ago the center of Athens. They have restored part of it, but most of it is still just the ruins. Here I am checking out some of the statues.

More pictures later...

I am so glad that you were able to go, and to have Chad be able to use his greek again is awesome!!!
Jealous! Love the pictures. I'm looking forward to more since this is probably the only way I'll ever be able to enjoy Greece. Sounds like an awesome trip.
Amazing pictures! That must have been so fun for Chad to see Greece again. I'm glad you had a great time.
